2020 BUECI Annual Membership Meeting
After careful consideration, the Board of Directors decided not to meet in person for the 2020 Annual Meeting of the Members, which was originally set for Thursday, April 9, 2020.
This action was taken due to the restrictions related to large public gatherings during the coronavirus pandemic. We all want to return to “normal life”, but we also need to keep our members and employees safe.
Annual Meeting (Informational Meeting style, not call-in)
While we will not have an in-person gathering, we still have important information to share, especially the results of the election of directors and voting on propositions to amend the bylaws. An Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 7 p.m. and broadcast via KBRW AM 680. The meeting will consist of short reports and announcement of election results. Action will be taken on approving prior year minutes, and acceptance of reports in 2021 or at the next in-person Annual Meeting. Copies provided in 2020 are for informational purposes (not action).
Voting for Directors and on Propositions
Anyone who is a member of record may cast a ballot. Only one ballot may be cast per membership.
Ballots will be mailed to all members in the Annual Meeting Packet mailed to the membership the week of October 27. Ballots must be returned no later than November 30 at 10 a.m. Ballots received after this date will not be considered.
Instructions for returning the ballot envelope will be included in the Annual Meeting Packet. The return envelope (security envelope) will include a pre-printed sticker with member’s name and account number. Members must sign the envelope and signatures will be matched to original membership agreement signature. This will help ensure that the member of record casts the vote.
BUECI will include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the ballot that the member will seal and mail. Please do not include anything other than the ballot. Additional or replacement mail-in ballots are not available. Ballots can also be returned to the collection box on BUECI’s front door.
